Yoga Revolution: How Yoga Alliance Serves and Supports the Growing Yoga Community
Yoga Alliance was formed 1999 to offer standards for yoga teacher training and a registry to recognize yoga teachers and schools whose training met the designed minimum Standards. Since then, it has gone through a lot of changes. Yoga Alliance has been on a growth path that aligns with the growth of yoga and the industry.
Today, Yoga Alliance supports the yoga community and provides more resources than ever before. Through free online workshops, that are eligible for continuing education, discounts on liability insurance and yoga products, advocacy support, scholarships, yoga industry research and visibility on the registry, Yoga Alliance has created supportive resources and partnerships that help yoga teachers and business owners find solutions to their issues and exposure channels for their offerings. Find out about the work Yoga Alliance is currently doing to grow, serve, support and protect the yoga community by speaking with Board Member, Roger Rippy, E-RYT 500, a local yoga teacher, student and owner of a RYS 200 and RYS 300 and studio in Houston, Texas.
